Change of Seasons can Trigger Acne!

There are people who are blessed with clear skin and there are others who suffer from acne and pimples. Did you know that there exists a section of people who have a clear, acne-free skin for the most part of the year, but as soon as it is summer or winter, their skin starts breaking into zits? Well, it’s true and it’s no magic or curse. It is called seasonal acne and is also quite common but lesser known.

As the climate changes, so does the skin texture. During winters the skin is dry and flaky. And in summers the skin is extra oily due to the heat and humidity. Heat and humidity leads to sweat that produce oil and clogs pores. It is not just the climate change that leads to acne. It is the activity which we get involved in during these climates that creates skin problems.

During summers, people love to enjoy a splash in the swimming pool to beat the heat. But little did they realize that chlorine in the pool can cause other allergic skin reactions. In winter, to get rid of dry, flaky skin, we smear generous amount of creams and lotions that can also trigger pimple breakout.

Therefore, if your skin changes with the change in the climate, you are also required to use different skin care products meant for the various seasons. You can consult your dermatologist or do a bit of research on your own to find the best skin care product suited for you to prevent and treat seasonal acne.

Acne Treatment - Quick fixes!

What can spoil the excitement of your most anticipated date, dream job interview, important presentation that is due in few hours? Apart for getting late or not showing up off course! It is a big pimple, right on your nose, forehead or anywhere on your face!

No need to panic! There are some quick acne treatment methods that will fix up your face just in time. Using these quick fixes, you can confidently step out for your important appointment.

First thing first, stop touching the pimple again and again! And don’t even consider squeezing, puncturing it with your hands. If your hands aren’t clean then it will just increase the size of the pimple which obviously you would never want it just before an important appointment.

Applying honey on the affected area is a great treatment for acne. It has many anti-bacterial properties that reduce the swelling of the pimple and acne, thus making it visibly look smaller.

Another quick treatment for acne is dabbing toothpaste on the pimples. The one’s, who have tried this treatment, swear by its instant result in reducing the size of the acne.

Drinking lot of water is an effective treatment for acne as it flushes out toxins and will make your skin glow. If you get tired of drinking water then you can eat fruits and vegetable that contains water like cucumber, water-melon, and apples.

All said and done, quick fixes are just temporary solutions. They don’t cure it, they just reduce the symptoms. If you are looking for a long term acne treatment then investing in good skin care products is an ideal thing to do.
