The Benefits of Whitening Essence

Unlike common belief, Whitening Essence is not just about getting one shade fairer skin. Many of us are born with clean and clear skin. But as the time passes, environmental, physical and hormonal changes take a toll on one’s body. Skin is the body part that starts showing the ill-effects of these changes almost immediately. The signs are uneven skin tone, dark spots, patches, pimple and acne marks. Even scars from previous unfortunate accidents can become permanent.

In such cases, Whitening Essence come in to picture and helps to tackle with these skin issues. They contain certain chemicals and ingredients that work effectively on skin and make it visibly fairer.

Some of the active ingredients that you can look for in a Whitening Essence are Licorice Extract, Vitamin C, and other such ingredients. The common factors in all these elements are that they act as antioxidants. For instance, Licorice Extract helps to treat pigmentation and dark spot on skin as it has many inherent qualities that work wonders on skin. And it is not a hidden fact that antioxidants make your skin healthy and beautiful.

A good Whitening Essence cream has the ability to lighten the skin tone a shade or two, give you an even looking skin tone, and reduce spots and scars such as acne mark. The antioxidants present in a Whitening Essence cream also help to protect the skin from the harmful UV rays that are the prominent cause for dark spots and skin ageing.

Choose a Whitening Essence that is light, gentle and soft on skin and is devoid of oil so that you can use it daily along with your other skin care products.

Invest in Oil Control Treatment

If you have an oily skin then chances are that you are suffering from acne and pimples. Though, it is no hard and fast rule that people with oily skin are the only ones who suffer from acne. But as the root cause of acne is the oil secreting sebaceous glands, it is most likely that oily skin attracts acne.

With or without acne, a skin which always feels greasy and shiny is not very desirable. Oily skin gets dirty very fast when exposed to dust and pollution as compared to other skin types. The simple reason for that dust and pollution easily sticks to the oily skin and stays until washed.

In today’s fast paced world, it is not always possible to wash your face frequently. So what you need is an oil control treatment. Invest in an oil control cream and forget all your worries.

An oil control treatment will stop excess secretion of oil so that your skin is not greasy. It will also help to strike a right balance of your skin’s natural oils without stripping what is essential. Look for an oil control cream which is non-comedogenic, light and oil-free. A good oil control treatment will result in a smooth, soft and non-greasy texture.

Oil control treatment will give you what you always desired, a beautiful, healthy skin!

Is Acne a Contagious Skin Condition?

In the morning, you notice acne on your forehead and you blame your friend that you met last night, just because she had pimples! Well, to the break the bubble, the acne could be the last of you sleeping with your make-up on! Because acne is not contagious!

Acne can’t spread to someone or to yourself. Many believe that if you have pimple some part of your body, the bacteria will spread to other areas.

For any type of infection to spread, there must be some medium that gets transmitted from one individual to another. Acne has nothing that can be transmitted from one person to another.  So it is impossible for someone to get it from another person.

Acne can spread if you fiddle with the infected area and then touch other areas that are prone to acne or uninfected sebaceous glands. Thus, the most important thing is to maintain hygiene. Pricking pimples will be of no help, as this will further aggravate the problem.

Wash the acne prone area as often as you can and treat it with skin care products. Remove every residue of make-up before going to bed. Don’t touch acne without washing hands.

So next time you suffer from acne, don’t blame your friend! Instead alter your skin-care routine and lifestyle to keep acne at bay!

Change of Seasons can Trigger Acne!

There are people who are blessed with clear skin and there are others who suffer from acne and pimples. Did you know that there exists a section of people who have a clear, acne-free skin for the most part of the year, but as soon as it is summer or winter, their skin starts breaking into zits? Well, it’s true and it’s no magic or curse. It is called seasonal acne and is also quite common but lesser known.

As the climate changes, so does the skin texture. During winters the skin is dry and flaky. And in summers the skin is extra oily due to the heat and humidity. Heat and humidity leads to sweat that produce oil and clogs pores. It is not just the climate change that leads to acne. It is the activity which we get involved in during these climates that creates skin problems.

During summers, people love to enjoy a splash in the swimming pool to beat the heat. But little did they realize that chlorine in the pool can cause other allergic skin reactions. In winter, to get rid of dry, flaky skin, we smear generous amount of creams and lotions that can also trigger pimple breakout.

Therefore, if your skin changes with the change in the climate, you are also required to use different skin care products meant for the various seasons. You can consult your dermatologist or do a bit of research on your own to find the best skin care product suited for you to prevent and treat seasonal acne.

Acne Treatment - Quick fixes!

What can spoil the excitement of your most anticipated date, dream job interview, important presentation that is due in few hours? Apart for getting late or not showing up off course! It is a big pimple, right on your nose, forehead or anywhere on your face!

No need to panic! There are some quick acne treatment methods that will fix up your face just in time. Using these quick fixes, you can confidently step out for your important appointment.

First thing first, stop touching the pimple again and again! And don’t even consider squeezing, puncturing it with your hands. It may be very tempting but it is not the hygienic acne treatment method. If your hands aren’t clean then it will just increase the size of the pimple which obviously you would never want it just before an important appointment.

Applying honey on the affected area is a great treatment for acne. It has many anti-bacterial properties that reduce the swelling of the pimple and acne, thus making it visibly look smaller.

Another quick treatment for acne is dabbing toothpaste on the pimples. The one’s, who have tried this treatment, swear by its instant result in reducing the size of the acne.

Drinking lot of water is an effective treatment for acne as it flushes out toxins and will make your skin glow. If you get tired of drinking water then you can eat fruits and vegetable that contains water like cucumber, water-melon, and apples.

All said and done, quick fixes are just temporary solutions. They don’t cure it, they just reduce the symptoms. If you are looking for a long term acne treatment then investing in good skin care products is an ideal thing to do.

Do’s and Don’ts with Acne Pimples

Pimples are a girls’ nightmare! Just imagine the horror, when a big pimple shows up un-invited on your nose, the very same day of your best friend’s wedding or worse, on your own wedding day!
In this situation, the very first instinct is to prick the pimple. But it is best not to follow that instinct as breaking the pimple will make it even more worse. Squeezing the acne results in injuring the sebaceous follicle, harms the surrounding skin tissues, spreads the bacteria to the other skin areas and the pimple leaves a permanent scar.
The ideal way to treat an acne and pimple is to follow a strict skin care routine. Washing your face, as and when required with the help of an appropriate cleanser for your skin type is essential. Markets are filled with special formulated acne cleansers, astringents, exfoliators and creams. Look for benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and glycerin on the label as they have the ability to reach and clean the deepest pore of the skin and dry out the acne.
It is hard to determine which product is best for your skin until you try it. Therefore do not shy away from trying new products until you find the right one. Stop immediately if certain cleansers and moisturizers cause irritation and extreme dryness.
If over the counter medicines are not helping then visiting a dermatologist is highly recommended. Recurring pimples and acne could be a result of an underlying health problem which only a doctor can determine. There are various oral medicines along with medicated cleanser, toner and moisturizer that will help you to tackle with pimples and acne.
Pimples are often caused by hormonal changes in the body, wrong eating habits and excessive use of cosmetics. So besides using skin care products and oral medicines, alteration in one’s lifestyle is also needed.
